easter weekend in the PNW.
Personal Message Warning: This post is loooonnnggg. Or at least I feel like it is, so hang in there with me, lol.
So, we started our Easter weekend with a huge easter egg hunt at a friends 6-acer farm. It is always a joy to be at this family's home, and to get to see her new expectant mama pig, you better bet once their's piglets I'll be posting pictures on every social media I have + this blog! (I have a huge soft spot for pigs, not to mention baby animals!) My kids were pretty big fans of the chickens and their "super cool spy gadget chicken coop" (how the side roof lifts to get the eggs out, lol).
We then came home and decided that we needed to soak up our semi-sunny fluke Saturday, so we drove out to SYG Nursery and grabbed supplies for planting baby sunflowers + making terrariums. (As if our home needed more plants?!) Who am I kidding, it's a mutual family love and addictions.
The kids (and the parents) had so much fun getting our hands dirty, and adding some more green to the house. And who can argue more plants + educational Saturday afternoon activities?
Then on Easter Sunday, we kicked off the morning hunting eggs that that sneaky bunny had hid the night before (with a huge glass of wine in hand, lol)
We then had a huge french toast breakfast, and got dressed in our snazziest...
Sorry, this mama can't stop gushing over the mini-photo shoot I did with these two right before its started to hail + down pour...their so adorable, and every time I've ever taken pictures of my kids, their personality has shined through in one form or another <3
We ended our Easter with chocolate bunny choma's and prepping for my class on Tuesday with natural weavings.
However you spent the weekend, I hope you had a sensational + blessed day!
With Grace + Guts
