A Winter Session: The Storms
You know that moment in Pride and Prejudice, when you think Mr. Darcy is a POS and then he helps Lizzy into the carriage with the most gentle touch of the hand? It's in that moment that every reader and movie watcher starts rooting for Mr. Darcy. It's that moment we are swept away. It was that moment this past weekend during a photo session that I was swept away.
The Storms were some of the first people I met when I moved to Northern Idaho for school. Their kindness over took me. Their joy for life infectious. Seriously, you can't come away from spending five-minutes with them without your whole day looking 10X's brighter.
While we tromped through frozen snow, and barren tree's, they told me how they had come to meet each other (okay, I asked. I couldn't help it...did I mention how sensational these folks are? I HAD to know!) Their constant connection and consideration for each other was so moving. Not questioning each other once. Just full of life and love.
While going through all the photos, TRYING to pick a few favorites, I was once again moved by this love and kindness that you could see radiate through the film. This session also made me realize how sad it is that as we go through life with our loves, that we get photos for engagements and weddings and then all of sudden the photos of that love stop and the photos get redirected towards children or other things. Making me decide I'm going to make a point to take more photos of the after the wedding loves. Capturing their moments.
Oh what a wonderful session this was. With all the feels and enlightenments and joys. I simply couldn't be happier to have gotten the chance to take this sensational couples photos for this new phase in their life (as they just jumped into the "we just bought a fixer upper" boat) phase.
With all the love possible.
And Grace + Guts,
